so all my assignment are done! :) celebrated yesterday by watching 5 movies. :D haha, but only 1 in the movie theatre lah, not so rich.

caught x-men origins (finally) with evangeline, david and chris. omg my favourite scene was when wolverine & sabertooth were fighting with that ultimate weapon.. thing. it was awesome. the choreography was omgwth damn good. blew my mind. i'd watch the movie again for that scene! :)

and the other day, i finally watched twilight. and couldn't stop analysing it as a post-modern Gothic text and how subversive it is to the traditional Gothic. yet it does nothing for gender roles. -_- i'd just written a 3000 word essay on a similar topic. NEH. plus i found some of the lines and the girl's acting really bad.

anyway. my lecturer wants to submit my group's experimental film to a film festival!!! and we got 90% for that project! omg highest i've ever scored! :) and i might get the chance to do the production design for a couple of musicals next sem. :) :) :)

ok im starting to sound like a nerd. but nothing very exciting is happening here. :(

anyway, i really should be writing my essay. :( but here i am procrastinating. rah! doppelgangers and the patriarchal gender ideology can go write itself!

mmm counting down the days till i board that plane home. :) i cant wait! 7 more daysss!

last week i practically lived in the fcp edit suites. a bunch of us regular squatters, haha. but really unique friendships are made on a cold 4am while rushing to finish edits. i think it's something to do with watching the same images flash in front of your tired, red eyes over and over and over again. that and the fact that sleep deprivation really makes people connect. haha. :D people were climbing walls. -_-

i think that last time i had to edit something this intensely was for the 'in love with shaoxing' project. hmmm.. good times. :)

feeling really nostalgic and melancholic these days. just really want to go home and see the people i love. :\ i think i've allowed myself to be lulled into the perceived stability of my life right now, and have forgotten that all things pass away. and that only His word remains. sigh.

okay. it's 4am. film screenings start at 9am... till 3pm. wth, right? neh, time for bed. will write my stupid essay tomorrow. 600 words down, 2400 more to go. yay. FML.

aye, it's been a helluva long hiatus.

breaking it to share some ecstatic news. :)

recently a bunch of friends and i joined the 48 hour film project competition. (www.48hourfilm.com/) it was a massive production with 2 units in 2 countries. singapore and perth working together! had fun, made new friends etc. and news just in today...

our film is ONE OF THE EIGHT LOCAL WINNERS IN SINGAPORE!!!

it will screen again on sunday night to compete for the CITY WINNER. and if our film wins, it will go on to compete internationally for the BEST 48 HOUR FILM 2009. :D and 10 of the best films WILL GET SCREENED IN THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2010!

i am hyperventilating!!!!

okay, i've 6 hugeass assignments due in the next 2 weeks. 2 journals, 2 essays (5,000 words each tyvm), and 2 productions. God save me. ok back to work.
