first week at uni

it's the first week of school. already i have 3 assignments due and 1 test next week. omg.


i'm supposed to be studying for my creative advertising test on monday, but here i am mooching around.

sigh, the weather's been absolutely crazy this week. it's thiry-fcking-nine degrees today! i'm so glad that my classes were in the morning and i'm in my flat now.. with the fan blowing directly at me. bloody shit lah, why is it so hot!

yesterday, eunice and kenta were nice enough to accompany me to the city to get film and stuff. we walked like, 100 blocks in the heat. and since i got here, i've become so brown you can see where my shorts end. -_-

fyi. i spent around AUD$40 on 3 rolls of negs, 1 roll of slides and 5 slide sleeves yesterday. omg so eggspensives!

and my timetable kind of rocks because i only have 12 hours of sch a week now. mondays 8-4, tuesdays 1-4 and thursdays 8-11. and i have wednesdays and fridays off! woohoo! (but i've got stuff to study and assignments to do lah.)


and i'm not really homesick at all. i just miss the CHEAP, GOOD food, my family and of course, THIS FACE!




hur, and i miss my car. the buses here have NO aircon and it's fricking nearly 40d.



but otherwise, it's really fun here. eh, wait. it's quite boring here, but the people make it fun. :) haha, we're having brekkie tmr! i can't believe i'm waking up for breakfast at 10am when i've no classes at all. zomg.

p.s i think i've become a design major. this sem, i'm doing photography, typography, visualisation, production design, creative ad design and scriptwriting. i predict i'm gonna spend a lot on school.

ohmygod.

it's overwhelming, the number of things i have to do. but it's still okay for now.

and it's already getting boring here in perth. there's nothing much to do. and the weather is really starting to get colder. its like 20 degrees at night and walking home from my friends' place is just.. brr! especially if you're in shorts and there's strong wind.

i've done so many dumbass shit things since i got here. the stupidest 2 on the list include locking myself out of the flat, and signing my debit card upside down. wtf, gwyn. seriously.


so from the 2 weeks i've been here, i have a few conclusions abt aussies IN GENERAL.

1) they love drinking. a lot. alcohol is water.
2) somehow, their glass bottles like to end up smashed to bits on the floor (which makes no. 3 make sense)
3) barefoot is the way to go.
4) dont talk, yell at the top of your lungs.

so hello;

there're ten million things in my head, that i should be thinking about, that i am thinking about.. i dont even know where to begin.

firstly! thank you all so much, those of you who went to send me off. :) unfortunately, i forgot to take photos. :c but here are some from the bbq.

it's been so busy for me that i've barely had time to miss home too much. but now after the initial running around and my parents going back, i'm starting to feel homesick. i surprise myself. i didnt expect to miss home too much. but needless to say, i miss bee like hell.

anyway, perth is a really nice place. much slower paced than singapore. from the little sight-seeing that we could do.. i took damn a lot of photos. (but i'm too lazy right now to put any up.)


new place, new friends, new culture, new experience. it's pretty overwhelming.

im still all alone in my 6-to-a-flat dorm. :( but i've made some friends who're in the flat across mine. and hopefully, people will start moving in soon. and i hope to god that they're okay. haha! not noisy, smelly, inconsiderate, hoggers, racist, stupid or whatever. seriously. please dont be stupid.


this is going to sound damn nerdy, but i cant wait to start studying! i managed to arrange my stuff so that i'm now doing a minor in creative advertising. woo! so i'll be doing a bachelor of arts (media & information) majoring in film&tv, with a minor in creative advertising. SO EGGCITE LARHXZ!
