3 years ago today,

i fell in love with a certain boy. (with an unusually large head)

he was passionate, caring, funny and smart. (and tried to punch someone out)

today,

he motivates, challenges and inspires me. (and annoys me too. sometimes, heh)

the more i learn, the more i love.

he's my best friend and boyfriend. and everything else i need all rolled into one. (kinda like a high-tech swiss army knife)

i marvel when i look back at how much we've been through in the past 3 years. and how much we've grown. and when i think of the big, bright future ahead; im excited. it's full of new adventures. :)

for this is a love that will never run out. it'll only get deeper and better over time.

three of the best years of my life. i'm truly blessed.

so here's to that certain boy with an unusually large head: i love you. forever. happy anniversary. :)

its little things that only i know, those are the things that make you mine.

ramblings;

making use of the last days of summer, we went to cottesloe yesterday. it was a gorgeous day and i got nice and toasted. :D swallowed a bit too much salt water, got scraped a bit too much by the sand, screamed too much and had so much fun. :)

too bad summer's almost over. but i like the rain too. :) (and i'd have an excuse to wear my rainboots. heh)

and just the other day, we drove to myaree really late and just sat around having bubble tea. :) and julia & i started a, ahem, sago war. i find it hilarious that people dont realise that they were MADE to shoot out of those big straws like precision guns. and hell, you can even load a few and make it a machine gun! :D i swear, the sound that the sagos make as they fly out of the straw is ... classic. 'POP!' haha, it's even funnier cos they stick to the surface they land on!

we practised our aiming and tried to knock empty cups over. but we soon ran out of ammo. :c and nobody was willing to fork out $4.50 for more, hah.

hurhurhur;

getting started on my first assignment this sem was like going back to kindy art class again. what with all the glue, glitter, feathers, markers and dyes. it was a messy affair, to say the least. haha! i had so much fun, it almost seem too indulgent to call an assignment.

we get to make a cameraless experimental film. by scratching, burning, pasting, drawing & writing, and whatever you can think of, on the film itself. everything inside me says "omg, you're destroying 16mm film! NOOOO!" but, hell. it's so fun.

and then i remember that 1 second on screen... is 24 frames. -_- meticulously duplicating something 24 times to have it seen for only 1 second is..... (look on the bright side) satisfying. nyeh!

i'm going to make a subversive, self reflexive, intertextual, diachronic film that is metonymically ontological yet hyperbolic. it will convey l'effet du réel in a surrealist manner and will totally knock the socks off my lecturer.

yeh, i just threw in some words from my readings to make it sound awesome. (and annoying.) but seriously. my film's gonna be awesomest to the maximus! i guarantee itus.

there really isnt another way i'd want to live.

goodnight.

miles and miles to go;

it's really amazing how we do and say things out of routine and dont even realise it. it takes someone to ask you why you do it for you to realise that you havent really thought about it. you've just become so used to it that it's almost innate.

its important to remember why. if not, the real meaning's lost, isnt it?

in the same thread... next time you tell someone you love them, take the time to tell them why.
