hahaha, okay i'm finally blogging about this.


our ride


we rented a car to drive around by ourselves coz the taxis there were damn expensive. and renting the car was only 100 ringgit for 2 days. cheep cheep!

we drove around the whole island and it was damn fun! felt like a road trip. :) and i had to stop for chickens to cross the road and nearly ran over a giant komodo dragon. it was just s-l-o-w-l-y crawling in the middle of the road and scared the shit out of me. it was HUGE lah omg.

the roads there, are all damn curvy and winding. one lane unless on the highway. and it damn horrible because there are hardly any arrows on the road and the dividers aren't painted on properly. -_- but it was okay because.. everyone broke the rules anyway. :D


tanjung rhu beach


the beach was really pretty. and we became the thick-skinned people 3 years in mass comm has made of us, and made use of resort facilities we weren't supposed to. heh heh heh. :P

and we had the best ice kacang. it had roasted peanuts in it. sigh. damn nice!


waterfalls


we had to walk up a steeeeeeep slope and 25730182403 steps to finally see the waterfall. it was quite nice and there were tadpoles in the pools of water. :D

ohmygod and the monkeys there. !! they detect any sign of food on you and they wont stop till they've got it. i saw a monkey climb up a guy's leg and grab the potato chip out of his hand.


cable car ride


it was damn foggy coz it had rained in the morning so we could see squat at the top. it was all just WHITE. but it reminded me of when the dementors stopped the Hogwarts Express in Harry Potter. and it was COLD.


pasar malam


the amount of food in that place is amazing. and all so good and damn cheap! i regretted eating dinner before going. :(

they have night markets every night but at different places.




that evening, the sky was orange. it was like the sky was on fire. :)


summer palace


we stumbled upon the summer palace. it is the original film set for Anna and the King. but it's been allowed to fall to ruins and its quite sad. but it was beautiful. so red against the blue sky.

oh yes, xb drove for the first time in his life.

hahaha! on our last day, we had a couple of hours till we had to check-in at the airport. so we drove around and found a deserted area next to a beach. it was really big and empty. and i decided to teach xb how to drive. :D hurhurhur. i survived. though he tried to pull some 'need for speed' moves on me. -_-



we like our ice cream. :)




oh, and this is xb's 'battle scar'. he was fighting off 2 masked men who were trying to grab my camera and run off. he was so brave and luckily he managed to duck when one of them tried to stab him with a knife.

no actually, he walked into a zinc roof. with a damn loud bang. i love him anyway. :D

the deathly hallows

the ending is damn blardy infuriatingly cheesy. seriously; after the last page, i closed the book, stared at it and swore.

the bloody thing had a '19 years later' section in the end for crying out loud. WTF? SO ANNOYING!


harry potter married to ginny weasley? MARRIED! WITH KIDS! ron and hermione too?! *shakes head violently. it's disturbing and frankly, quite gross. omg, harry potter really should have just died. that would have been the best ending. saddest, but best.

and i loved how neville turned out. :) but was damn sad when fred died. how now brown cow?! no fred weasleyyyyy! and i dont get how malfoy can still be such a prick after all that. nygeh!

okay, i sound like i hated the book. not true, i only hated the ending. the book was not bad. and it was touching at parts.

and and and, i'm damn curious as to what happens to the other characters.. like hagrid, luna, george, rita skeeter..
and who's the headmaster at hogwarts now?
and what did they do the voldemort's body? (bury it, duh. but where?..)
and what are harry, ron and hermione's jobs?


sigh, i wish it didnt have to end. (especially not the way it did. so blardy annoying.) okay i think i've finished ranting. :\

and then last sunday, i was reminded again why i do it.

i guess i need a gentle reminder once in a while. because the only really important thing tends to slip beneath the rest. and in my hurricane of 'things to do/plan and places to be at what time', it's easy to lose sight.
